Tamari marinated beef skewers
MILK AND TAMARI MARINADE
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp. maple syrup
- 1/8 cup tamari sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salted herbs
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- To taste, freshly ground pepper
- 1 1/2 lbs. cubed beef on skewers
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. fresh herbs, to taste (dill, tarragon, basil, coriander, etc.), chopped
Combine marinade ingredients in a tightly sealed dish large enough to hold the skewers.
Thread the meat cubes onto the skewers and place them in the marinade.
Marinate for 12 to 24 hours in the refrigerator. Preheat barbecue to medium-high.
Remove skewers from marinade. Pour the marinade into a saucepan and dilute the cornstarch.
Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 5 minutes.
Cook skewers on hot grill to desired doneness.
Sprinkle with fresh herbs after cooking and serve with the sauce and grilled vegetables.
